What a great turn-out we had for the November meeting - the Annual Print Competition. There was a really good representation of images prepared and submitted by the members. And the judges did an excellent job of judging and explaining their rational for scoring the prints. Everyone in attendance learned a lot about what judges look for in their print evaluations. There were about 48 prints and about 6 albums submitted

Be sure to mark your calender to attend the December meeting - this is our Annual Christmas Party. This is always a really fun time. We will be at Chantrell's and, by popular demand, once again have the "Chinese Gift Exchange". To participate, just bring a gift valued between $10 and $15. The "exchange" is a BALL! Also, we will be presenting the Print Competition winners and the awards for the "Photographer of the Year" and the "Member of the Year".

CHECK OUT EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS!!!! Many may not be aware of PPSO's extensive library of educational materials which are available to check out as a benefit of membership. Go to the new PPSO Library Page and "check out" (pun intended) the tapes, CD's and DVD's available.
You may check them out at the regular monthly meeting and return them at the next meeting. Keep checking back as new materials are added several times a year.

There are TWO new TIPS for June....Take advantage of the PPA Indemnity Program to recover those images from hard drive failures.......also, are you seeing spots on your digital images, or have the dreaded dust bunnies inhabited your camera!!!

The "Members Page" has been updated to provide the opportunity for you to include an image with your studio name. This is where the public goes when they click on the "Find a Photographer" link from our Home Page. Also, you may now place four of your images in a "mini-gallery" linked to your studio name.This feature has been added for several studios. Go check them out. If you wish to add your image(s) to your listing, size your images to no larger than 4x5 at 72 dpi .jpg's and attach them to an e-mail to me. Be sure to identify which image you wish placed on the listing page.
